London 2012 Paralympic Games
Qualification Criteria
Each sport which is part of the London 2012 Paralympic Games has a Qualification Criteria which athletes must meet in order to compete.
In addition sports also allow bipartite entries. This is where the IPC and relevant Sport Federation both agree on a discretionary basis to allow an athlete, who due to extraordinary circumstances has not had the chance to meet the qualification criteria, to compete in the Games.
Wildcard entries are also given to a number of athletes from developing countries who have not made the Qualification Criteria.
