Sochi 2014 will see athletes compete in five different sports.
Russia, who finished second in the medals table in Vancouver despite winning the most medals, will be confident of topping the rankings on home soil.
Biathlon and Cross Country Skiing are likely to be the two events where Russia will be hopeful of winning the most medals, whilst Germany will look to continue its success in Alpine Skiing.
USA will be looking to defend the gold medal they won in Ice Sledge Hockey in Vancouver, whilst Canada, many people’s favourites to win on home soil, will be looking to bounce back after only taking the bronze in 2010.
Should Canada claim gold in Wheelchair Curling, then they will make it a hat-trick of titles having taken the top podium position in Torino in 2006 and Vancouver in 2010.
