As one of the largest sports organizations in the world, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is the international umbrella organization of sport for athletes with a disability. Our key focus is on the organization, supervision and co-ordination of the Paralympic Summer and Winter Games and the daily management of Paralympic sports under IPC Governance.
Our team needs the assistance of a full-time:
IPC Powerlifting Manager
at the IPC Headquarters in Bonn, Germany.
If you are an energetic, open-minded individual for whom working in a global sports organization could be challenging and you - have a university degree or equivalent in a related field
- have experience and working knowledge with Olympic, Paralympic and/or other major international sport organizations
- have experience and working knowledge in sports on a national and international level
- have excellent organizational skills and are computer literate in MS Office programmes (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook),
- have excellent English verbal and written skills (knowledge of other languages is an advantage),
- have a proven ability to meet deadlines, to operate with limited supervision and to multitask in a fast changing environment,

The main responsibilities of this position are:
- Overseeing the development and implementation process of the Corporate Plan and budgets for IPC Powerlifting
- Manage and maintain the publication of the IPC Sport(s) rules, regulations, terms of reference, competition calendar and other material
- Providing administrative services and support to the relevant IPC Sports Technical Committee and co-ordinate the relevant meetings.
- Liaising with various IPC Competition Organizing Committees throughout all phases of competition development, planning and delivery
- Liaising with relevant IPC Departments and Committees on the operational management of legal affairs, risk management, finance marketing, media and communications, medical and scientific and logistical services related to IPC Powerlifting
- Conducting day-to-day administrative activities of your Sports

IPC Classification Research Manager
at the IPC Headquarters in Bonn, Germany.
If you are an energetic, open-minded individual for whom working in a dynamic team in a global sports organization could be challenging, and you
-Have a Master degree in sports science and/or sports medicine or equivalent, with major orientation in biomechanics or kinesiology.
-have expertise and/or experience in the field of Paralympic Sport,
-have expertise and/or experience in scientific concepts and methodologies and have a particular interest in the scientific development of Paralympic Sport Classification,
-have excellent organizational skills and are computer literate in MS Office programmes (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook),
-have excellent English verbal and written skills (knowledge of other languages is an advantage),
-have a proven ability to meet deadlines, to operate with limited supervision and to multitask in a fast changing environment
The main responsibilities of this position are:
-Monitor the implementation of sport-specific evidence-based classification in Paralympic Sports in accordance with the IPC Classification Code and the IPC Position Statement on Background and Scientific Rationale for Classification in Paralympic Sport;
-Facilitate classification expert meetings in different sports and initiate follow-up with different parties afterwards;
-Provide assistance in the compilation of documentation to report and seek external funding for classification research projects;
-Assist the IPC Membership in retrieving compliance with the IPC Classification Code;
-Support the activities of the IPC Classification Committee and IPC Sports Science Committee on this subject.
Occasional travels to represent the IPC in classification related meetings and to support the IPC Classification Programme at Major Competitions and Games are part of the job expectation.
This position will report directly to the Medical & Scientific Director.
