Classification Committee
To create strategic recommendations (global, long-term) related to the on-going evaluation and further development of classification systems of all sports in the Paralympic Movement.
Established to provide advice and consultation on issues related to the classification of athletes in the Paralympic Movement.
Membership: The Classification Committee shall normally be comprised of six members, including the Chairperson and five members at large. The Committee meets at least once a year.
Function: To create strategic recommendations (global, long-term) related to the on-going evaluation and further development of classification systems of all sports in the Paralympic Movement.
Status: The Classification Committee was established in 2004 and was previously a Subcommittee of the Medical Committee.
