Aleksander Wang Hansen

Norway’s Aleksander Wang-Hansen has participated in the Paralympic Games since Sydney 2000, with his best finish to date coming in the form of a bronze medal at London 2012.

Wang-Hansen finished fourth at Sydney 2000, 11th at Athens 2004 and fourth at Beijing 2008 before finally making the podium at London 2012 with teammates Marie Solberg and Per Eugen Kristiansen.

He is the older brother of Sebastian Wang-Hansen, who competed at the London 2012 Olympics in windsurfing, and he is the cousin a Mats Wang-Hansen, who was a world champion in sailing back in 2000.
