The Slovakian visually impaired skier will be one of the athletes to beat at the 2013 IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships and Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.

In Vancouver, Farkasova enetered all five Alpine Skiing individual events and won three golds and one silver medal. The only event she did not medal in was the Slalom, an event she finished fifth in.

At the 2011 IPC Apline Skiing World Championships in Sestriere, Italy she was in scintillating form winning four individual golds from five events.

Her good form continued in 2012 where she topped the World Cup rankings in both the Slalom and Super Combined events for the 2011/2012 season. In the Giant Slalom and Super-G she was ranked second behind Alexandra Frantseva, and Farkasova's rivarly with the Russian could be one of the highlights of the forthcoming major evemts.
