Mandip Sehmi, a veteran on Great Britain’s wheelchair rugby squad, was first introduced to the sport by at Stoke Mandeville Hospital by Bob O’Shea, the captain of the British team from the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games.

In 2002, Sehmi was scouted as a potential talent and by 2005 made his national team debut at the 2005 European Championships in Denmark.
