10th Anniversary of Bernd Best Wheelchair Rugby Tournament

Having started with 20 teams from six countries in its first year in 1999, the tournament has grown each year with now 50 teams from 13 countries participating. This year’s Tournament promises a demonstration of excellent sports performances and passion for play by the Wheelchair Rugby athletes.

Bernd Best had been the initiator and founding member of the Wheelchair Sports Club Cologne in 1969 and had fought all his life for emancipation of and solidarity for wheelchair users.
