With exactly one year to go (22 October) until the Opening Ceremony of the 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha, Qatar, the competition website at www.Doha2015.org has been launched.

The event will feature around 1,300 athletes from 90 countries and will take place in the Suhaim Bin Hamam stadium between 22-31 October.

Craig Spence, the International Paralympic Committee’s Director of Communications, said “Doha2015.org is the place to find all the most up-to-date news, schedules and information about this fantastic event and will be constantly updated with lots of other useful content for spectators and the media.

“We expect athletes to arrive in Doha with the clear intention of putting on their best performances, not only aiming to become world champions, but to assess their competition ahead of Rio 2016.

“The website will therefore be packed with athlete interviews, biographies and previews and reviews of 2015 IPC Athletics competitions so that fans can follow the build-up from there as well.”

The 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships will be the seventh edition of the event, staged since 1994.
