Baldwin 1st Irish Shooter to Go to Paralympics

Earlier this month, it was announced that Sean Baldwin will be the first Irish athlete to compete in Shooting at the Paralympic Games.

The army veteran received confirmation of his London place just last week.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Sean Baldwin will be the first Irish athlete to compete in Shooting at the Paralympic Games.

Baldwin, a soldier with the Irish Army lost a leg in a traffic accident in 2003 in Liberia, and since he has competed in many world military events. He only began competing in major competitions in early 2011 before he secured his qualifying standards in Sydney late last year.

The army veteran received confirmation of his London place just last week.
