The competition will still run, but results will not contribute towards rankings.

IPC Wheelchair Dance Sport has announced that the Holland Dans Spetakal will no longer be an IPC approved competition for 2014.

The decision comes after the Local Organising Committee of the competition wrote to IPC Wheelchair Dance Sport requesting that the event should not be under the approved competitions for this year.

The competition will still run, but results will not contribute towards rankings.

Dancers have an otherwise exciting year to look forward to, highlighted by the 2014 Asian Para Games in Incheon, South Korea, from 18-24 October.

There is also an IPC Wheelchair Dance Sport Continents Cup in St Petersburg, Russia, from 6-7 September as well as the Rheinsberger Rollstuhltanzfestival from 15-16 March in Rheinsberg, Germany, and International Serbian Wheelchair Dance Sport Open from 7-8 June in Belgrade, Serbia.

Most recently, around 160 athletes from nearly 20 countries competed in the 2013 IPC Wheelchair Dance Sport World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.
