Flag exchange hails last official act before Worlds open

The Secretary General for Sport and IPC Alpine Skiing have exchanged Paralympic flags representing the 2013 IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships with the president of FBC (the Catalan railway company), Enric Tico, and the mayor of Alp, Ramon Moliner.

The 2013 IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships are the biggest milestone before Sochi 2014

The Secretary General of Sports for Catalunya, Ivan Tibau, together with Mariona Masdemont representing IPC Alpine Skiing have submitted to the president of FBC (the Catalan railway company), Enric Tico and the mayor of Alp, Ramon Moliner flags representing the 2013 IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships La Molina. This symbolic gesture, which took place on Monday (11 February) at the Museum Colde of Barcelona, was the last official act before the Opening Ceremony of the championships on 19 February in La Molina, Spain.

From 20-27 February more than 270 skiers, guides, coaches and team members from 28 countries will come to La Molina for the most significant alpine skiing competition before the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.
