Brazilian star Jefinho believes that his team will meet expectations in their next match as they aim to win a third consecutive gold medal.

The second day of the football 5-a-side gets underway as defending Paralympic champions Brazil will be looking to find the net after being held 0-0 in their opening game against France.

The South American team is expected to inflict another loss on Turkey, after they were comprehensively beat 4-0 by China in which was their first ever football match at the Paralympics.

Brazilian star Jefinho believes that his team will meet expectations in their next match as they aim to win a third consecutive gold medal.

He said: “When we play Turkey it is certain that we will produce a victory."

China will face a sterner test in their second match, as they take on France, who will look to get their first goal of the competition.

Zheng Wenfa will be looking to add more goals to his tally after scoring two for the silver medal holders in their opening game.

Spain endured a tight 1-1 draw with Great Britain in their first match and will be looking for all three points when they play Iran.

Great Britain is expected to experience another tough match, when they take on Beijing bronze medal winners Argentina. They will be determined to get a win in front of their home crowd, since they came so close in their first game.

Dave Clarke will be hoping to continue his goal scoring form as he has set his sights on being top goal scorer of the tournament.

The teams of blue and white have set their sights on the gold medal and will be looking for a win against the hosts. However, Argentina coach Martin Delmonte expects a very tactical and tight game based on their previous encounters.

He said: “We know a lot about how they play and their tactics and it is always a challenging game against Great Britain."

Spain will face Iran on the other match of Pool A.
