Groups decided for Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Worlds

The 16 teams competing were split into four groups, with the top three finishers from each group advancing to the second round.

The draw has taken place for the 2014 IWBF Men’s Wheelchair Basketball World Championships, which will be held from 5-14 July in Incheon, South Korea.

The 16 teams competing were split into four groups, with the top three finishers from each group advancing to the second round. From there they will contest quarter-final spots in pursuit of advancing to the medal round.

At the last World Championships in 2010, Australia won gold, with France taking silver and the USA grabbing bronze. France, along with reigning Paralympic champions Canada, failed to qualify for the World Championships.

Groups for the World Championships are:

Group A: Great Britain, Mexico, South Korea, Argentina

Group B: Netherlands, Spain, Iran, Japan

Group C: Turkey, Algeria, Colombia, USA

Group D: Germany, Sweden, Australia, Italy
