Around 250 participants listened to speeches from the Prime Minister of Korea, Han Duck-Soo, IPC President Sir Philip Craven and the Korean NPC President, Jang Hyang-Sook, as well as saw traditional Korean singing and dancing on stage.

During two days of meetings and break-out sessions, the delegates will cover several agenda items, including Communication and Stakeholder Relations (conducted by the World Academy of Sport), the Organizational Development Initiative, Anti-Doping and Therapeutic Use Exemption, Paralympic Day, Paralympic School Day and a Youth Round Table.

The IPC Conference is an opportunity for members of the Paralympic Movement to get together before the IPC General Assembly and exchange views and thoughts on various topics.

In regards to the upcoming Conference and General Assembly, Sir Philip Craven said: "I look forward to meeting with you, the Paralympic Family, to assess our achievements and map out our course for the future. I anticipate hearty discussions and positive outcome. Listen, learn and be inspired."
