In a few months, Africa will learn which of their sitting volleyball teams will possibly represent their region at the Rio 2016 Paralympics, as the 2015 ParaVolley Africa Sitting Volleyball Championships for men and women have been confirmed for 19-29 July in Kigali, Rwanda.

African Championships serve as a key qualifier for Rio 2016.

Meanwhile, the World ParaVolley announced the 2015 World ParaVolley World Club Cup for men’s sitting volleyball will be held in Mashhad, I.R. Iran from 18 -25 September.

The event will be hosted by the I.R. Iran Sports Federation for the Disabled and for club teams, meaning that national teams are not permitted to participate. Players from national teams are, however, permitted to participate as a part of their club team.
