ITTF releases promo video for Star Awards

The 2013 ITTF Star Awards will be held in conjunction with the one million dollar GAC Group 2013 World Tour Grand Finals, and will recognise and celebrate the STARS of table tennis, the players who have made table tennis their passion and career.

There is just one month to go until the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Star Awards – organised in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council – will be held in Raffles Dubai Hotel on 11 January.

To celebrate, the ITTF has released the first promotional video, which captures the excitement, passion and prestige the first ever ITTF Star Awards will embody.

The 2013 ITTF Star Awards will be held in conjunction with the one million dollar GAC Group 2013 World Tour Grand Finals, and will recognise and celebrate the STARS of table tennis, the players who have made table tennis their passion and career.

It will be an evening of glitz and glamour, as athletes dress up in their finest to attend.

ITTF President Adham Sharara stated: “The ITTF is very excited about hosting its first-ever Star Awards that reward the world's best players on their stellar performances on the table in 2013 and their immense contribution to table tennis.”

The seven ITTF Star Awards that will be on offer in Dubai are:

• Male Table Tennis Star

• Female Table Tennis Star

• Para-Male Table Tennis Star

• Para-Female Table Tennis Star

• Fan's Male Table Tennis Star

• Fan's Female Table Tennis Star

• Table Tennis Star Rally/Shot

The nominees for the awards will be announced in a matter of days, so make sure you keep an eye on ITTF.com in order to not miss out.
