Sarai Gascon and Nuria Marques Soto will meet again at the Mexico City 2017 World Para Swimming Championships, from 2-8 December, after competing at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

The Spaniard swimmers will come together in the women’s 50m freestyle S8-9, 200m individual medley SM9, 100m freestyle S9 and 100m butterfly S8-10.

Gascon is hoping to outdo her performance from Glasgow 2015, when she claimed one gold and one silver, and add more medals to her Worlds tally which already includes three golds, three silvers and two bronze.

Marques Soto is highly-motivated after winning gold at her maiden Paralympic Games at Rio 2016 and will be a hard-to-beat rival. Everything is set for an epic Spanish showdown.
