Second site visit reveals exciting plans for 2015 Inas Global Games

The Games - a week long event featuring nine sports - are the world’s largest event for elite athletes with an intellectual impairment.

After concluding the visit, Inas Executive Director Nick Parr congratulated the organisers on the work already completed, and on their plans to make this the best Global Games yet.

"Not only will the Games deliver a week-long showcase of sport for athletes with an intellectual disability, the organisers are working closely with city officials and the Ecuadorian government to upgrade and refurbish venues and facilities across the city, ensuring a lasting legacy for the people of Guayaquil," he said.

The site visit coincided with the 2014 Guayaquil Open Swimming Championships.

The 4th Global Games begin on 20 September 2015r with an Opening Ceremony at the 42,000 seat Estadio Modelo Alberto stadium.
