Margareta Israelsson has been re-elected as chairman of the Swedish Para Sports Federation and Swedish Paralympic Committee.

At an extraordinary meeting, the Swedish Organisation for the Disabled and Swedish Paralympic Committee, elected Margareta Israelsson as its new chairman and a new excutive committee until the regular meeting in 2015.

“We must be an open league with high ceilings, for together we are very strong. We have associations across the country that makes me proud, members doing peerless performance,” said Israelsson following her election.

“It's an incredible strength. It is the strength we must lean on in tough times. Because I think that when we in the disability sport is united that we can develop and improve.”

The executive committee of the Swedish Association for the Disabled and Swedish Paralympic Committee until the 2015 Annual Meeting are:

- Henrik Nevala

- Dedjo Engmark

- Helena Hagberg

- Stig Carlsson

The Swedish Organisation for the Disabled and Swedish Paralympic Committee (SHIF / SPK) is one of 70 sports federations (SF) within the Swedish Sports Confederation (RF) and administers the sport for persons with mobility impairments, visual impairments and developmental impairments in 19 sports.

SHIF also holds the role of the Swedish Paralympic Committee with responsibility for the Paralympic sport.
