Stilwell and McCracken post new world-best times

Australia’s Summer Down Under Series concludes on Saturday (26 January) with the iconic OZ Day 10K in Sydney, in which several wheelchair racers from the London 2012 Paralympic Games will take part in.

Canada’s Michelle Stilwell and Australia’s Rheed McCracken set unofficial world records this week at Australia’s Summer Down Under Series.

At the Canberra Track Meet, Stilwell unofficially broke her own 200m T52 world record with a new top time of 33.19.

McCracken set a new world best in the 1,500m T34 with a time of 3:14.13.

All world records are currently unofficial and are still pending approval of IPC Athletics.

Australia’s Summer Down Under Series concludes on Saturday (26 January) with the iconic OZ Day 10K in Sydney, in which several wheelchair racers from the London 2012 Paralympic Games will take part in.

Australia’s own Kurt Fearnley, who has competed in the event every year since 1996, will try to win his ninth consecutive Oz Day 10k title.
