Allianz Suisse and Swiss Paralympic have announced today (15 November) the extension of their partnership agreement through to 2020, which will enable national Para athletes to continue participating in international competitions in the lead-up to the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

In addition, Allianz Suisse will get even more involved in the promotion of Para sports across Switzerland and will cooperate on the strengthening of the communications area at Swiss Paralympic to make the achievements of the athletes well-known to a wider public.

The Allianz Newcomer Award will also continue to be given to the most talented young athletes, with the next edition set to be held in the capital city of Bern on 2 December.

Conchita Jäger, Secretary General of Swiss Paralympic, said: "Allianz Suisse is committed to Swiss Para sports with great enthusiasm and passion. The extension of our partnership allows us to provide longer-term support for the athletes.

"We hope that the Swiss Paralympic team will continue to be successful in future competitions thanks to this agreement," said Thomas Wegmann, Head of Market Management of Allianz Suisse. "We are very pleased that we continue this successful path together."
