The Korean Paralympic Committee is supporting a taekwondo class for students with visual impairments that will take place in December.

Three organisations – Gangwon Myugjin School, Incheon Hyegwang School and Daegu University – will participate in the class. A taekwondo demonstration team featuring athletes with visual impairments is also expected to be formed, led by Moon Dae-sung, a former taekwondo gold medalist in the Athens 2004 Olympics.

Para-taekwondo was recently introduced as a full member of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in 2015 and was added to the Tokyo 2020 programme, in which it will make its Paralympic debut.
