Wheelchair Basketball African Championships Slated to Start

Four teams will battle it out beginning on Monday (10 October) at the Wheelchair Basketball African Championships for just one qualification spot at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Nigeria, Egypt, Morocco and South Africa will take part in the four-day men’s tournament in Rabat, Morocco, with the winners earning a spot at next year’s premiere international event.

South Africa’s men’s squad was the only team from the continent to take part in the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, where it won just one of its five contests.
