IPC General Assembly
The General Assembly (GA) is the supreme governing body of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). The GA meets once every two years, and is a composition of National Paralympic Committees (NPCs), International Federations (IFs), Regional Organizations, IOSDs and Sports. The GA shall:
- Determine the policy for, and set the fundamental directions for the development of sports for athletes with a disability;
- Elect the President, the Vice President, ten Members at Large;
- Consider and approve the budget of the IPC;
- Consider and approve the rules of procedure for the election of the office bearers;
- Consider motion from full members and Standing Committees;
- Adopt a biennial action plan;
- Consider the international sports calendar proposed by the Governing Board;
- Approve and admit full members in the IPC;
- Appoint an Audit Committee;
- Consider and approve the annual membership fee;
- Approve or decide any change in the country of location of IPC Headquarters.
IPC General Assembly 2007
The 2007 IPC Conference and General Assembly took place in Seoul, Korea, from 24 to 25 November 2007, hosted by the National Paralympic Committee of Korea. Preceding the General Assembly, from 22 to 23 November, the IPC Conference took place.
