Peter Thompson has a long history in the sport of sailing. After beginning sailing at age 12, he has a career of over 40 years behind him, which will certainly put him in good stead for the ATHENS 2004 Paralympic Games. Thompson was named Australian Disabled Sailor of the Year in 2000 following his performances at the Sydney Paralympic Games and World Championships. As a past national representative in Cross Country Skiing, Thompson is encouraged by the ´endless challenges´ of sailing. When he is not training or competing, the Financial Account is also looking after his 1000-acre property near Canberra.
