Nigel Murray made history at the Sydney Paralympic Games in 2000 when he became the first Briton to win an individual medal in Boccia, not a bad result for his first international win. Murray was unbeaten in 2002 and following a win at the test event in January this year he is ranked number one and has high hopes of taking the gold. Murray competes in both the individual and team competition in which he competes in a mixed gender/class team of three athletes.
