Wojtek Czyz was on his way to being a professional football player, moving up the ranks of the German leagues, until a sporting accident led to a below-the-knee amputation. Only six weeks after receiving his first prosthesis, Czyz was on the Athletics track competing in the German International Athletics Championships. Not only did he participate, but also he set two new German records in the 100m and long jump. His times and distances have been steadily increasing since and his next goal is to compete at the ATHENS 2004 Paralympic Games. We can´t wait to see what he can achieve next.
