Ana began her swimming career at age 10. Three years later, she won three bronze medals at the Atlanta Paralympic Games in 1996 at only 13 years of age. After winning silver and bronze at the Sydney Paralympic Games in 2000 she also achieved a number of world records in both long and short course. Throughout 2003-2004 Ana has been in top form, achieving several top rankings in World Championships leading up to ATHENS 2004. When she is not in the pool, Ana is a full time student training to be a primary school teacher in Special Education.
