Akobasenga Olive is probably one of the youngest athletes competing at national level competition at the age of only 15. She began competing in Athletics at age 12 and now trains six-days a week at the Rwanda National Stadium. Olive entered her first national competition in 2002 at age 13, and has since participated in several national championships. In addition to her training, she is also attending secondary school and enjoys other sports and studying. Olive was a participant in the IPC ATHENS 2004 Special Initiative in Athletics and recipient of a Universality Wildcard for the ATHENS 2004 Paralympic Games.
