Years of dedication and hard work have turned Benoit into a world-class competitor. She started playing Wheelchair Basketball in 1983 and one year later was a member of the Canadian Paralympic Team. Since then, Benoit has been a gold medallist at the Barcelona, Atlanta and Sydney Paralympic Games. Exceptionally dedicated to Wheelchair Basketball, she continuously promotes the sport and its societal benefits to all. Among other activities, Benoit donates much of her time and effort ensuring that other people are able to experience the positive outcome from participating in the sport. Athens will be her sixth Paralympic Games.
