Wheelchair Fencing World Cup

After the success of the 2003 European Championships, Paris, France, hosted, for the first time, the Wheelchair Fencing World Cup on the occasion of the final round of the 2005 Wheelchair Fencing Circuit. From 25 to 27 November, a total of 120 athletes from 13 countries competed.

The event was held under the patronage of Jean-François Lamour, French Minister of Youth, Sport and Voluntary Organizations and World Wheelchair Fencing Champion Laura Flessel at the Louis Lumière Sports Centre, Paris.

The World Cup brought together the best Wheelchair fencers from around the world. There was a fierce battle between the host team, France, and the strong Chinese team, who finished ahead of France at the ATHENS 2004 Paralympic Games.
