Curling is a target sport based on a very simple idea. The players slide a stone down a sheet of ice and have it stop as near the centre of a set of rings, called the house, as possible. The opposing teams will do everything tactically to stop each other from achieving this goal. The game thus contains elements of great skill, strategy, finesse, exertion and endeavour.
