IPC Has a New Website
The IPC 2nd generation website has been online since June. At www.paralympic.org you will find a lot of interesting information about Paralympic sport. The site is still under construction and we are constantly working on improving our online services to you. We already have more than 500 hits per day. The Paralympian will also be available in the news section. In the future, we plan to build up a photo and video database. This will enable you to download images of all Paralympic sports.

If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact the webmaster Uwe Broich at:
webmaster@paralympic.org

Don’t forget to bookmark: www.paralympic.org The Paralympian Webtip

In each future issue of the Paralympian, we will include a "web tip". If you know a website that you consider to be interesting for other Paralympian readers, too, and that has no link so far on our site, please e-mail us the web address!

New Brochure on
Paralympic Sport
The IPC has recently published a brochure that gives an overview of sport for athletes with a disability. It contains chapters on the history of Paralympic sport, on the Paralympic Games, on the athletes and on the Paralympic movement. It also introduces all 24 Paralympic summer and winter sports. First class photographs illustrate the booklet. Copies can be ordered free of charge from the IPC Headquarters in Bonn.

Revised Rules, By-laws and Regulations Now Available
An updates version of the IPC Handbook was published in early October. Three volumes, totalling over 700 pages, contain the IPC constitution, by-laws, general regulations, the rules for all paralympic sports as well as a section on how to organise Paralympic Games.

It can be ordered from the IPC Headquarters in Bonn. However, in order to keep postage and packing costs as low as possible, you are strongly recommended to download it from the IPC website (www.paralympic.org), where it is updated on a regular basis. If you don’t have access to the internet, the handbook is also available on disk.
