Alpine and Nordic Season 2000/2001 Concluded

With the previous Worldcup Races in Canada and the USA in March, disabled skiers concluded the last season before the Paralympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City next year. Both the Nordic and the Alpine athletes had the chance to compete on the Paralympic slopes in Soldier Hollow and Snow Basin in two test events leading up to the Paralympic Games.

Before the conclusion of the season, the European Championships in Nordic skiing took place in Solleftea, Sweden from 25 February to 4 March. In temperatures of less than minus 15° Celsius, 16 nations competed for the medals. Germany became first in the national medal count with nine gold, four silver and one bronze medals followed by Norway and Finland.
