The IPC is committed to engaging in partnerships with external organizations who can positively contribute to the long-term development of the Paralympic Movement.
 

Currently Partnerships:

 
  • UK Sport to support the Organizational Development Initiative.
  • Commonwealth Games Canada (CGC) to support the Organizational Development Initiative.
  • Handicap International  (HI) to share expertise and promote the rights and opportunities for persons with a disability in sport.


 
Former Partnerships


 

  • United Nations Education and Scientific Organization (UNESCO) to promote the Convention Against Doping in Sport, increase awareness about persons with a disability in formal education systems through the IPC’s Paralympic School Day programme and promote girls and women as leaders within sport.
  • Right to Play work in partnership to promote sport as a means for development, health and peace with particular focus on inclusion of persons with a disability.
  • The President of the IPC, Sir Philip Craven, and the Special Adviser to the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace, Adolf Ogi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 11 February 2005 formalizing the co-operation between both organizations to promote the value of sport as a means for development for persons with a disability and theInternational Year of Sport and Physical Education 2005.
  • CARE International Deutschland supported the Rehabilitation Through Sport in the Tsunami Areas (ReSTA) project in Sri Lanka in 2005-2006.
  • The Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation gave a Quality For Life Grant to the International Paralympic Equestrian Committee (IPEC) to support the Training and Development of Equestrians with a Disability from Economically/Socially Disadvantaged Countries.
  • The European Commission supported the Paralympic School Day Project in Europe through its Joint Actions Programme.
  • The International Olympic Committee supported the Rehabilitation Through Sport: Assisting Amputees and other Persons with a Disability pilot project in Angola.
  • The Swiss Agency for Development and Co-operation supported the Healthy Paralympians project in East Africa.
