A regional organization is an independent regional organization recognized as the sole regional representative of the IPC members within a specific region as recognized by the IPC.

IPC Regions
An IPC region is an IPC regional committee recognized as the sole regional continental representative of the respective region.
International Organizations of Sport for the Disabled (IOSDs)
An International Organization for Sport for the Disabled (IOSD) is an independent organization recognized by the IPC as the sole representative of a specific disability group to the IPC.

International Sport Federations (IFs)
An International Sport Federation (IF) is an independent sport federation recognized by the IPC as the sole world-wide representative of a sport for athletes with a disability that has been granted the status as a Paralympic Sport by the IPC.

IOSD Sport
An IOSD Sport is a sport for athletes with a disability on the Paralympic Programme governed by an International Organization of Sport for the Disabled (IOSD).
IPC Sports
An IPC Sport is a multi-disability sport for athletes with a disability governed by the IPC under the management of an IPC Sports Committee.
