She was the winner of the 2014 edition of the Italian television programme Dancing with the Stars [Ballando con le Stelle]. She was the first winner with an impairment in the history of all the international editions of the show. Her partner for the programme was Italian dancer Raimondo Todaro. She was not selected for the national squad ahead of the 2012 Paralympic Games after the Italian Paralympic Committee elected not to take her. In 2011 she founded the non-government organisation Disability No Limits, which gives support to sports clubs so that children can try different sports.
