RIO REFLECTION
He said that while it was initially disappointing not to have won gold at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, he was satisfied with the silver medal he won there. "At first I was a little disappointed with the time as it was almost 1.5 seconds slower than my best. But my coach pulled me aside and offered some very wise words, that this is probably the one year where the result - a medal - is more important than any other factor. That's when I realised we had achieved what we set out to achieve - to win silver. Gold was a little far out of reach so we targeted an appropriate goal and I was very happy to do that."
