Sport Specific Information
When and where did you begin this sport?
He began swimming in 2007.
Why this sport?
He gave up his first passion, Australian rules football, in order to pursue swimming. As he grew older the demands of Aussie rules meant he would struggle to compete. "[My passion for Australian rules football] took me to a certain level before it started getting rough and the sport was becoming really fast. Mentally, I was capable but physically I had to look at the reality of it all. I didn't want to be doing nothing in my life after stopping football so I took on swimming."

Sporting philosophy / motto
"I believe one should make the most of each day. If it's good, keep it in your memory and carry it on. If it's bad, learn from it and change what you can next time. Never look back on a day and say, 'what if?' Just do it, because life is so precious and we can't afford to waste a day thinking what we should have done. You only get one chance at living, so make the most of it." (yahoo.com, 10 Oct 2010).
