NATIONAL FIRST
He became the first Serbian athlete to compete at both the summer and winter Paralympic Games, following his appearances at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang. He also became the first Serbian athlete to compete in Para cross-country skiing at the Paralympic Winter Games. "I am extremely happy that I am the first. No one has competed at the Winter and Summer Games before me. Now, I'm going to compete at the Paralympic Games every two years. It's unbelievable feeling." CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
He took up Para skiing in 2011. "I tried Para alpine skiing and I liked it, but there was a risk that I would fall and injure myself, therefore I decided to give up on skiing. It's dangerous, but adrenaline was attracting me, so I was still thinking about skiing. Then, I discovered cross-country skiing. The Serbian Paralympic Committee agreed that I could train in cross-country skiing, but only if I would not withdraw from athletics, which was a perfect solution for me." (infoera.rs, 22 Feb 2018)
