Florinda Trombetta – Training Assistant – and Paralympic rower

Adaptive Rower Florinda Trombetta attended the Athlete Career Programme in Italy to find out what she wanted to do professionally and how she could combine it with her next sports challenge, which was to qualify with her team for London 2012. After a few sessions with her Adecco ACP coach, Adecco Training Italy was convinced that Florinda would not only be part of the 2012 Paralympic Games but also a great team colleague, and they offered her a position in their HR department.

Florinda clearly makes the connection between her sport and professional career: "Sport in general and adaptive rowing are based on clear rules, on respect for one's team mates and opponents and on efforts to achieve demanding goals. All these aspects are also present in my professional life today".

“Florinda has been working in our Adecco Training branch in Milano, supporting all other colleagues in her job of Training Assistant. She shows the same determination in sport and work alike, and she managed to find her own space in the team, asking for feedback on how she was doing and always looking for new tasks that could build up her skills and new ways she could support the team. Florinda has very high standards for herself and is constantly aiming to do more and better; Through her ,we learn day by day how to overcome obstacles.”

- Fabio Montemerlo, Area Training Manager, Adecco Italy
