The 1st Para Athletics Coaching Conference will feature four keynotes headlined by 14-time Paralympic Gold medallist Chantal Petitclerc of Canada. Smaller event specific workshops will also be presented on areas such as training athletes with visual impairments, prosthetics running and jumping, throwing techniques, and others to be announced. Check back to this page regularly for further speaker announcements. A final conference programme will be published prior to the start of the conference.

Confirmed Speakers (last update 1 June 2015)

Chantal Petitclerc (CAN) – 14-time Paralympic gold medallist and 2016 Paralympic Games Chef de Mission for Team Canada.

Guido Bonsen (NED) - Head coach of the Dutch Para-Athletics Team since 2009. His talk will feature on the key factors in running and jumping with prosthesis.

Lawrence W. Judge (USA) - National Chairman of the USA Track and Field for Coaches Education. His talk will focus on developing training methodology for seated and standing throws.

Ciro Winckler (BRA) - Professor of physical education at the Federal University of Sao Paulo in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He will speak about the right training environment for VI athletes.
