PARA ATHLETICS EDUCATION
World Para Athletics in co-operation with its education partners, IPC Academy and World Academy of Sport (WAoS), offers a range of training and education opportunities for classifiers and officials working in Para athletics.
With an increase in the number of athletes competing as well as an increase in the number of Para Athletics events and competitions, World Para Athletics is responded by offering increased learning support across in a number of areas.
Details of World Para Athletics planned courses are available on our web page. We also welcome initiatives from National Paralympic Committees, National Federations and Local Organising Committees to host education programmes.

TECHNICAL OFFICIAL training courses
World Para Athletics Technical Officials training courses are designed for either new or experienced judges and officials who wish to become an official, or who are looking to develop their skills through additional training. World Para Athletics offers a comprehensive training and support system to enable officials to develop and progress along the training pathway. Details of this training pathway can be found here.
CLASSIFIER training courses
A number of training opportunities exist for suitably qualified individuals who are interested in becoming classifiers for World Para Athletics.
Classifier training for all World Para Sports is coordinated through the IPC Medical and Scientific department. More information about upcoming training opportunities for classifiers can be found on the IPC website.
