2013 Desert Challenge Games

From 18 May in Mesa, Arizona in the USA, Arizona Disabled Sports will play host to the 2013 Desert Challenge Games at a venue to be determined.

The event is open to US and international male and female athletes with a physical impairment, and opportunities for international classification will be available.

Events will be available for all classifications included on the 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships programme, with field events including long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus and javelin.

Located just 32km east of Phoenix, Mesa is home to nearly 500,000 people and is nearby Arizona State University, home to several top collegiate sports teams.

Classification opportunities for athletes with a physical or visual impairment will be held from 16-17 May.
