Desert Challenge Games, Arizona, USA
From 9-11 May 2014, Arizona Disabled Sports hosted the 2014 IPC Athletics Grand Prix Desert Challenge Games.
The event was open to American and international male and female athletes with a physical or visual impairment.
Events were available for all classifications included on the 2014 IPC Athletics World Championships programme, with field events including long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus and javelin.
Located just 32km east of Phoenix, Mesa is home to nearly 500,000 people and is nearby Arizona State University, home to several top collegiate sports teams.
