• On the all-time Paralympic Winter Games medals table, Austria currently stands third having won 314 medals made up of 102 gold, 108 silver and 104 bronze medals. Norway leads with Germany second

• Austria's most successful Paralympic Winter Games were in 1984 and 1988, when it collected 34 and 20 gold medals respectively. It hosted both of those Winter Paralympics in the city of Innsbruck

• Austria won 11 medals at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games including three golds. That was their lowest return ever at a single Winter Paralympics

• All 15 gold medals won by Austria at the Winter Paralympics since 2002 have been won in alpine skiing. The last medal away from alpine skiing was won in 1998 in cross-country skiing

• Austria has won Winter Paralympic gold in the following sports - alpine skiing (88), cross-country skiing (10) and ice sledge speed racing (4), a sport that no longer appears in the Games

• Austria's most successful winter Paralympian is Josef Meusburger who has won six alpine skiing gold medals

• Austria has won only eight fewer gold medals at the Winter Paralympics (102) than at the Summer Paralympics (110).
