Impairment
She was born with an underdeveloped right leg, caused by incorrect blood circulation. Doctors in her hometown of Perm suggested amputation, but doctors in Moscow suggested progressive operations. Her parents decided on the latter, but after several operations, doctors ultimately decided it was best to amputate the leg when she was 18. (forum.ampgirl.ru, 12 Jan 2010)
