Dublin 2018: European Championships to be livestreamed

The Dublin 2018 World Para Swimming Allianz European Championships are to be livestreamed in full on World Para Swimming’s website and Facebook page.

Fans will also be able to follow the competition on YouTube with a total of 39 hours coverage available.

Dublin 2018 evening sessions will be shown live on the World Para Swimming Twitter page.

Around 400 athletes from 37 countries are set to compete at the 2,500-seater National Aquatics Centre.

Rio 2016 bronze medallist Ellen Keane leads the host country’s delegation in the biggest Para sport event to take place in Ireland.

Great Britain’s Ellie Simmonds, Spain’s Sarai Gascon and Ukraine’s Yevheniy Bohodayko are some of the Paralympic and world champions competing in Dublin.

World Para Swimming’s digital channels will show daily highlights and behind the scenes action, with live results and latest news available on the competition website.

“Dublin 2018 is going to be one of the most exciting Para sport events of the year,” said Craig Spence, the International Paralympic Committee’s Chief Marketing & Communications Officer.

“The European Championships provide the perfect stepping stone for young athletes and almost one hundred swimmers will make their international debut in Ireland.”

“The National Aquatic Centre will also host some of the world’s most decorated Paralympians. There will be plenty of action for the fans attending the event and watching via TV or digital channels."
