Iran’s Siamand Rahman has been chosen as “Best Asian-Oceanian Powerlifter” after winning the men’s over 107kg title at the Asia-Oceania Open Championships in Kitakyushu, Japan.
The world’s strongest Paralympian may have not gone for the world record this time, but it is always special to watch him compete.
The vote was carried out on World Para Powerlifting’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, with Rahman collecting the most combined votes across all social media pages.
China’s Lingling Guo and Tan Yujiao, and Iraq’s Rasool Mohsin were also nominated.
